Martín and I are driving the car to the ocean.
But the beach is ruined
In the bay, massive rusting ships sit.
Big, beautiful waves break, but if we swim in them, we’re told we will get toxins.
Others, locals, are swimming anyway.
We go in.
Is our car locked or unlocked?
It doesn’t matter, it’s been taken by the waves too.
What did we want then?
To get wasted: to lose ourselves
What do we want now?
To get unwasted: to find ourselves
What did I want then:
A science fiction future, an escape
What do I want now:
Presence in an ancient human existence
Alhamdulillah
Divine Father,
I water our vine, our vinculo
You give and I say yes
You take away and I say yes.
