For Tefita
What if my dharma is to live a beautiful life?
To that purpose, death is to be loved, because death implies life, as light implies dark.
As a beautiful work of art relies on contrast
Death, time, suffering, age: I welcome you.
You paint with such unique fragrances.
Everything is perfect.
And though everything is,
Time goes by, and so action is needed.
The action I take
Is the contemplation of god.
And the gestures I make
Towards the ones in the crowd who will even look at me
Are simple touches or hand symbols
To remind them
Of what they already know.
