Who want to serve others,

Become of use?

And then the engineers build thinking machines

To take even more jobs,

So that even more of us are useless.

We have a crisis of trust:

How do we trust each other

To collaborate on common goals

Like keeping the atmosphere livable?

And then the engineers

Design a technological solution to the trust problem

Crypto-currencies

That substitute fossil fuels for trust

So that we have both no trust and a toxic atmosphere.

We have a crisis of values:

As all the human cultures come online,

So many possible ways of being in this world

In this most melting pot era.

And then the engineers

Design digital spaces, marketplaces and forums

So that you don’t need to interact with humans.

Instead of witnessing the diversity of values

Let’s ignore them and live in isolation.

So that Isolation is chosen over Integration.
