The following passage is guiding me, from the last chapter of the Bhagavad Gita:
O Arjun, that action which out of delusion you do not wish to do, you will be driven to do it by your own inclination, born of your own material nature.
Bhagavad Gita 18.61:
The Supreme Lord dwells in the hearts of all living beings, O Arjun. According to their karmas, He directs the wanderings of the souls, who are seated on a machine made of material energy.
Bhagavad Gita 18.62:
Surrender exclusively unto Him with your whole being, O Bharat. By His grace, you will attain perfect peace and the eternal abode
My Prayer:
Let me do what is natural for me to do
What is natural for the real me to do
And don’t let the unreal poison my understanding of my desires
Let my soul direct the machine of my matter
Preventing the will of others to sway me.
And give me the power to tell the difference
Tho the manipulators may grow stronger every day.
Don’t allow advertisers to confuse what my true self wants.
My true self wants to buy nothing other than the most basic food, water and shelter. Wants to walk the mountain trails. Wants to make love behind overgrown fences. Wants to be the wild man.
Wants to exercise and strengthen the body.
Wants to carve words
Carve wood
Carve clay
Carve my joints and strengthen tendons
Turn my body into the bride of God.
Wants to fly like the condor
With a little friend on my back.
Over mountains,
Feel the world flip
Be a baby scorpion
Be Tiamak, the serpent in the void.
Receive, receive, receive, and give, give, give
Not only on this plane but on a subtler one.
Be me.
